An experienced and successful Data Security Administrator sought by a leading international trading firm for Philly location. In this challenging role,you will be responsible for developing and implementing data security systems that will provide detection, prevention, and containment and deterrence mechanisms to protect and maintain the integrity of data files throughout the firm Job Duties include: Refines and implements the current data security plan according to established timelines. Develops and Maintains policy and procedures that are designed to protect designed computer programs, data bases and data files from unauthorized or accidental duplication, modification or destruction. Establishes and maintains correct access rules defining who has access to which data sets under what circumstances Recommends specific improvements to security and internal control and follows up on all recommendations. Qualification and Skills: BS or equivalent Three to five years of previous systems administration experience in UNIX, NT and networking One to two years in Data Security systems Must have hands on firewall experience. Demonstrated strong problem solving skills Experience with snoop/tcpdump or equivalent in IP environment Strong interpersonal skills, must be able to work successfully on a team and have consensus building skills A solid understanding of a UNIX-based operating system; Understands paging and swapping, inter-process communications, devices and what device drivers do, file system concepts Familiarity with fundamentals networking/distributed computing environment concepts; Can configure NFS and NIS, can use nslookup or dig to check information in DNS, Understands basic routing concepts. VPN experience a plus!
