Sr. Technical Support Engineer FUNCTIONS: Candidate shall be responsible for providing application support that includes software applications, operating system and networking to customers and field personnel on site via telephone support. Provide a high level of customer satisfaction through the effective delivery of technical support and service programs. Provide post sales support to netForensics customers via telephone or occasionally on site. Meet personal role in Customer Satisfaction goals. Will require 7x24 on-call rotation duty and or Alternate work shift schedules. Provides problem isolation and resolution, using system, application software and diagnostics and/or crash/dump analysis. Able to work documentation issues by providing necessary document and/or filing documentation bugs as well as provide recommendations to customers and account team. SIDE FUNCTIONS: Mentor new and junior Technical Support engineers Provide customer coaching and training. May act as a liaison for development and R&D organization Requires travel upon request of management to provide on site support. Requirements: BS Degree in Computer Science/Electronics/Electrical discipline 5+ Years in Technical Support organization with most experience as software engineer Working experience for Networking/Enterprise Management type of company is desirable Strong in Troubleshooting Skills Good Communication Good Team player Technical Skills: Exposure to Security product (Firewall, Network and Host Intrusion Detection Systems) Strong Experience in TCP/IP networking Extensive knowledge of both Unix (Solaris, Linux) and Windows operating systems is required 3+ years of Programming experience in 2 or more of the following: Java, Java Servlets, C++, Perl, Shell Network Socket Programming Experience desirable Experience in HTML/XML and SQL programming desirable netForensics.com offers industry standard compensation plans.
