Job spec: Main Duties: Configure, install and monitor companies Internet firewalls which are all based on the Unix OS (Solaris/BSDi) 1st and 2nd Line support for the global environment Assist with implementation of new firewall applications. On-going development and implementation of new and changing security and business requirements. Attend and participate in various meetings / discussions on above topics. Responsibilities: Responsible for day to day administration of companies Internet Firewalls. Responsible fro Engineering tools for the automation of Firewall functions, administration and monitoring. Responsible for Engineering and implementation of new firewall technologies. Responsible for implementing companies security policy on Internet Firewalls. Special Circumstances: Out-of-hours work expected, especially Friday evenings when change controls are implemented. Career Prospects: I am looking probably for a very strong AVP or VP.. Other Comments: This is a strictly hands on role, so a fully rounded experience of the Internet and Unix systems is the fundamental requirement. Education : Work Experience : Special Skills + Knowledge: Exceptional Solaris Skills Good Understanding of TCP/IP Working knowledge of Perl and Shell Scripting General networking experience including exposure to Cisco routers and switches Familiar with Microsoft Operating System environments and Office Software. Experience of NAI's Gauntlet Firewall, Checkpoint FW1 or Nokia Firewalls other similar products. Personal Skills : Calm under pressure, team player, extremely responsible and reliable.
