Title: Information Security Administrator Our job reference #709 Location: Denver, CO Salary: $60k - $73k - Responsible for notifying the appropriate IT operations group on vulnerabilities within their systems and security alerts that could affect the systems they manage, and to provide recommendations on mitigating or removing the vulnerabilities - Responsible for performing assessments on IT systems and certifies whether or not they meet predetermined security requirements. Provides recommendations on resolving vulnerabilities. - Assists in the development of content (and in some cases the delivery) of information security seminars and training classes - Coordinates the establishment, implementation and adherence to policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of information security services - Conducts vulnerability assessments to help the organization develop security standards and procedures that support strategic, tactical and operational objectives on a cost-effective basis Educational Requirements/Experience: - BA/BS Computer Science or related field - Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP(r)) Or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA(r)) preferred. - 5 Years Networking and 2 years of information security related experience. - 5 years experience with TCP/IP - Must have experience with vulnerability assessment tools such as NMAP, Nessus, and SAINT - Must be knowledgeable in multiple operating systems such as Windows, Novell Netware, Unix, and NT. - Must be knowledgeable in many areas of security such as Firewall's, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and Network Sniffing systems. - Must be knowledgeable in many network topologies and protocols, including Ethernet, Frame Relay, X.25, ATM, TCP/IP, and IPX.
