Summary: The Public Relations Manager will strengthen market visibility, brand awareness and market position through increased presence with press, analyst, customer and major stakeholder constituencies. The incumbent will develop and implement compelling communication tools, including press releases, success stories, case studies and white papers. These activities will be directed towards maximizing awareness with key audiences. The Manager will develop relationships with the top analysts and press that cover the security space. Existing relationships are definitely a strong plus. The Manager must be able to demonstrate the ability to articulate a clear value proposition and relevant ROI metrics. Only candidates with a minimum of a 4-year degree and 5+ years relevant experience, and specific information security industry experience will be considered. Responsibilities: Develop press releases that support the positioning and core messages. · Create white papers and sales materials for C level and technical audiences. · Identify, implement and manage relationships with key editors and writers. · Target known and discover unknown editorial opportunities to ensure Company solutions receive prominent coverage in relevant articles. · Manage and maintain the public relations plan. · Lead and coordinate the activities of Company’s press agency. · Ensure that the firm leverages major tradeshows, conferences and industry events for maximum press coverage. · Manage and develop speaking opportunities at relevant business and industry events. · Lead and manage product and corporate award activities identified by PR Plan and ensure best positioning and product representation. · Support executive team in developing abstracts for presentations and speeches. · Manage content of press area on corporate website to promote press activity and media coverage. Requirements: · 5+ years experience in high tech PR with 2 years minimum agency experience. · Excellent written and oral communications (sample of press releases, contributed articles a must). · Must have demonstrated ability to land major media coverage (samples of coverage in IFW, CNN, WSJ, Fortune or other large publication.) · Heavily networked with press and analyst community as indicated by deep familiarity with editors and analysts. · Knowledge of Security industry. · Talent for thriving in a high-growth, fast-paced evolving industry; a conceptual and tactical mindset; entrepreneurial in nature. · Outstanding work ethic, interpersonal skills, and a results-oriented, innovative style are essential. · Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to effectively present to executives, public groups, and information technology managers. · Bachelor in Marketing, Communications or Business; MBA a plus. · Up to 20% travel.
