    Cleveland, Ohio. They are searching for a Chief Information Security
    Officer to lead an established Information Security organization. The
    key to a successful candidate is that he/she must be immediately
    credible with a successful track record of leading a large and
    distributed information security team. They must have the personality
    and presentation skills to be a security evangelist and heighten the
    overall security awareness of the company. They must have demonstrated
    visionary and strategic leadership specific to technical information
    security issues as well as an understanding of financial services
    industry business processes and regulations.

    Job Description
    
    This is a senior leadership position responsible for the entire
    Corporate Information Security division and ultimately the effectiveness
    and completeness of the organizations security program. Strong
    leadership, communication and people management skills are a must for
    this position. The Chief Security Officer will have responsibility for
    ensuring that the technology and data resources of the organization are
    secure. This will involve working closely with corporate technology
    development and technology infrastructure groups as well as senior
    management. The Chief Security Officer is also responsible for ensuring
    that robust monitoring and measurements are in place while providing
    leadership, guidance, direction and authority for technology security
    across all corporate technology departments. The security program will
    need to ensure the security, integrity, privacy and availability of
    information and the systems that handle it. The Chief Security Officer
    oversees the day-to-day and strategic aspects of the organizations
    security program.  Security policies, standards, procedures, on-going
    oversight and setting security requirements for new project initiatives
    are a few of the day-to-day components of the security program. The
    Chief Security Officer is responsible for ensuring that workflow within
    the division runs smoothly so that new technology projects are
    appropriately monitored for security risks and appropriate risk
    mitigation requirements are efficiently set forth and appropriately
    designed and delivered with the newly developed production system. The
    security standards and architecture will need to be regularly reviewed
    and updated to prevent unauthorized access of the company’s technology
    systems.  Should a breech occur, the Chief Security Officer is
    responsible for ensuring the timely detection, containment and incident
    response necessary to mitigate the exposure caused by the breach.
    Ultimately, the Chief Security Officer’s job is to implement a sound
    security program that prevents security breaches.
    
    
    A successful candidate will have strong management capabilities to lead
    an extensive security staff.  He/She will provide technical direction to
    security architects and project consultants to ensure appropriate
    security requirements are set forth on new development efforts. The
    successful candidate will possess a strong technical background in
    information technology security and have prior financial services
    experience.
    
    Required Skills
    · Graduation from a four-year university with a degree or major
    coursework in computer science, telecommunications, networking,
    engineering or other computer-related field of study.
    · 10 years experience working in an information security, information
    technology, or risk management related field.
    · Currently acting as a leading security officer for a financial
    services company, or other high transaction processing global
    organization.
    · Proven managerial skills including: effective oral and written
    communication, staffing and resource utilization, performance
    management, issue resolution, motivating others, forecasting and
    planning.
    · Ability to manage issues to closure across departmental boundaries.
    · Possession of industry certifications highly preferred.
