    TRAINING MANAGER - Austin, TX
    
    Full-Time Position
    JOB DESCRIPTION: 
    
    The Training Manager will be responsible for creating and developing our 
    training and certification program for our Intrusion Detection products.
    
    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    
    Assess needs and develop a comprehensive training and certification 
    program that includes product and technical training for sales, sales 
    engineers, support technicians, partners, and customers
    Conduct formal training seminars for internal staff, partners and 
    customers
    Create and manage development of curriculum and documentation
    Manage training logistics, including setup and maintenance of training lab
    Work with technical writers, sales engineers and support to produce and 
    improve training materials
    Interact efficiently and seamlessly with internal and partner sales force 
    to understand and meet partner and customer training requirements
    Develop strong relationships in all departments to ensure good 
    communication with subject matter experts
    Work with other managers to develop internal training on new products and 
    updates
    Strong Client/Customer Service skills
    Experience and skilled in Project Management
    Travel to customer and partner sites up to 25% of the time 
    
    QUALIFICATIONS: 
    8+ Years of Total Training experience with 4+ Years in the network and 
    security industry.
    Strong understanding of network technologies and tools (Routers, 
    Switches, TCP/IP, Firewall, IDS)
    Proven ability to quickly master technical subjects
    Prior experience leading and overseeing a customer-based training 
    department
    Proven ability to coordinate interdepartmental resources
    Experience teaching technical subjects to diverse audiences
    Excellent documentation and communication skills
    Excellent teamwork skills
    Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
    Knowledge of training and adult learning methodologies
    Knowledge of instructional design and CBT development a plus
    High energy, flexibility, and a desire to excel in a rapidly growing 
    organization.
