    North Central USA area (specifically based in Chicago, IL)
    Business Group: Sygate Enterprise Sales Team

    Responsibilities:
    You will provide Pre-Sales technical support for our sales teams. 
    Assist in technical training of sales representatives and channel
    partners. 
    Assist in making sales in the assigned territory to exceed the
    assigned sales quotas. 
    Participation and on-site support at various trade shows, conferences
    and marketing events as needed. 
    Demonstrate products to client via presentations and product demos. 
    Overcome technical and business objections of potential customers. 
    Manage new customer product and delivery expectations. 
    Work efficiently with Technical Support teams to solve customer
    problems. 
    Build and maintain customer relationships 
    Travel (approximately 50%) required. 
    
    Requirements:
    5+ years of Security Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Systems
    Engineering with a proven ability to work on a sales team and provide
    technical leadership. 
    Through knowledge and understanding of firewalls, intrusion
    detection, penetration testing and network security policy
    definition.
    Through knowledge and understanding of public domain and open source
    exploit applications as pertains but not limited to the
    aforementioned technologies.
    Through knowledge and understanding of the IP communication protocol
    suite.
    Through knowledge and understanding of remote access solutions,
    including but not limited to VPN technologies.
    Through knowledge and understanding of the following operating
    systems; WinNT/2000, Win9x, Linux and Sun Solaris.
    Experience in LAN/WAN/WLAN (802.11) networking design, connectivity,
    routing and switching protocols. 
    Experience in LAN/WAN networking protocol analysis using commercial
    and public domain protocol analyzers.
    Software solution and relationship selling skills. 
    Good personal computer skills including MSOffice suite, MSBackOffice
    (specifically MS SQL server) and Visio.
    Strong active listening skills.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
    Strong presentation skills.
     
    Education:
    BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering programs preferred,
    or equivalent related industry experience. 
    Preferred, but not required CISSP, GIAC, MCSE, CNX or other industry
    recognized certifications.
    Preferred, but not required Sandler Sales, Miller Heiman or other
    sales methodology training.
