SPI Dynamics is in search of a full-time entry level R&D engineer who is
available to begin immediately. The unique candidate is someone who has
experience in Web application security and can pull apart applications to
determine weaknesses and vulnerabilities. This person will work in a
Research and Development environment that is focused on proactively
capturing newly published vulnerabilities and incorporating these
vulnerabilities into SPI Dynamics’ industry leading Web application

effectively research and document at a highly technical level.
Responsibilities include the identification, documentation, and testing of
Web application vulnerabilities in a lab environment. As a member of the
SPI Labs Research and Development team, the incumbent will have to rapidly
reconfigure various test environments to verify computer security
    vulnerabilities and develop countermeasures.

    Responsibilities:
·Research newly published Web application security vulnerabilities by
monitoring news groups like Security Focus, vendor advisories, and other
    public sources.
·Research various vendor applications to discover non-public
vulnerabilities and develop custom exploits for those vulnerabilities.
·Research and validate each newly published vulnerability by setting up a
test environment and verifying the vulnerability.
·Develop vulnerability checks to identify which Web applications have
    these vulnerabilities.
·Document the vulnerability including remediation and fixes.
·Update and maintain SPI Dynamics’ vulnerability database.

    Requirements:
·Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related field
    of study.
·Strong C++ and VB scripting skills in a Microsoft development environment.
    ·Experience with Web application security.
·Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
·Independent, self-motivated worker requiring little supervision.
    ·Strong problem solving skills.
    ·Strong research skills.
    ·Penetration testing is a plus.

    Benefits:

SPI Dynamics is the leading provider of Web application security
solutions. We provide software that protects our clients against the loss
of confidential data through an organization’s most vulnerable yet least
secure infrastructure component – the Web application layer. Software
developers, quality assurance professionals and security practitioners use
SPI Dynamics’ Adaptive-Agent™ technology to discover application
vulnerabilities that would otherwise go undetected using traditional
network firewalls and intrusion detection systems. For more information
