My current contract finishes up at the end of the month, so I'm now looking for either some new contract work (anything from a week to a few months), or (ideally) a permanent telecommuting position. My major skills are network security, crypto (including some research, and major implementation work), C/C++/Perl (~20K/60K/8K lines resp), Unix (9 years), some configuration management work, and I have excellent writing skills. I'm interested in protocol analysis/design, IDS, embedded systems, or anything else that provides a neat technical challenge. My resume is available at http://www.randombit.net/resume/ (HTML+ASCII), and references are available on request. I usually work as a hourly contractor, but a fixed fee arrangement could work as well. Baltimore has a low cost of living, so I can afford to be pretty flexible about compensation (especially if the work is interesting). I'd be happy to answer any questions about my interests or experience. Regards, Jack
