    03-11-03 Boston suburb, Rt. 128 area Permanent $120-125k range with 15%
    bonus pool for senior managers Lead a team of software development engineers
    in architecting, designing, and coding desktop security applications that
    interact with smart cards and other authentication devices. Provide
    leadership in innovating a growing product line for an industry leader. This
    group has 90 people and you will report into an Area VP of authentication
    engineering. This is a growth position, potentially into a Director role.
    Qualifications: . Must have managed 8-10 people for 5-10 years. . Must be
    very articulate and a strong communicator. . Must possess desktop skills,
    COM, C++ ability, browsers and understand these technologies and issues
    extremely well. . Ideally desktop software skills combined with security
    issues and/or smart cards specifically. . Desktop issues such as browsers,
    LotusNotes, and client side security issues are very important (along with
    anything that might show up on a desktop), detailed knowledge of
    W9X/NT/2000/XP. . Candidates should posess extensive experience developing
    software, leading development teams in Windows desktop applications, and
    have a very good understanding of software process. . Ability to work well
    in a team with product management, program management, QA, documentation,
    and production is required. . Most importantly, my customer is looking for a
    Manager who has “made all the mistakes already” and can come in and make a
    significant addition to the effort. This is a new group that is working in
    parallel with an established organization within the company.
