If your skills and experience match the job specification below please contact me (details below) Job Specification Training and Awareness Manager Company Global FTSE 100 company Location London-UK Salary TBA Start Date ASAP The Role The business purpose of this Training and Awareness role is to help make the Information Security a core competency of the company and its staff. Contributing to corporate governance goals, the role will provide a basis for continuous, measured improvement in security and to ensure effective communication within the company on Information Security matters. You will be required to: 1. Maintain a communications plan to cover all aspects of communication on security matters, including awareness campaigns, training courses, presentations, publications, web sites, mailing lists and other relevant channels. 2. Consult with all the companies security teams to incorporate their communication needs. Consult with other stakeholders to ensure the relevance and effectiveness of awareness and training. 3. Manage the delivery of internal communications according to plan. Develop, or commission development of, training and awareness materials and manage the delivery of ongoing security education programmes throughout the company. 4. Where appropriate, select external training companies to deliver courses to the companies sites worldwide. 5. Work with the companies process management specialists to ensure alignment of approaches to security and process improvement in software development, technical operations and business units. 6. Provide support to process improvement initiatives so that the maturity (in security terms) of organisational units within the organisation can be defined and measured. 7. Assist members of the Group Security Practice collate and develop training materials. Skills Essential . Bachelors/BA or Professional equivalent. . Minimum of 3 years in IT Security Management, IT Security consultancy, IT Audit, IT Quality Assurance roles in end-user or consultancy organisations, with a total of at least 5 years in IT related work. . Demonstrable understanding of the management issues involved in implementing a security-aware culture in a large corporate environment. . Ability to specify and evaluate options for collecting security status information from a variety of IT platforms. . Previous experience in designing, developing and managing the roll-out of awareness, education or culture change programmes. . Experience of selecting and managing subcontractors. . Experience using models for process or quality measurement/improvement in IT organisations is highly advantageous. Exposure to the SEI-CMM would be useful. . A practical, implementation-oriented outlook is essential, so that the process improvement initiative is seen as useful and relating directly to the needs of the users. . In order to champion the group's aims through personal contacts, meetings and presentations, some at a senior level, good personal presentation, verbal communication and influencing skills are also essential.
