    Hello,

I did mean '@' and not the '-h' flag, although the '-h' is
the "standard". I was demonstrating the '@' as an alternative:

    Linux 2.4.2-13-p1-psmp
    Whois Server Version 1.3
    ------------------------
    syntax: whois [-v] [-r] [-h server] [-p port] [--] query[@server[:port]]
    default server is whois.crsnic.net

You are correct, the '@' does not work on the standard FreeBSD builds
of whois, although the binary can be rebuilt with the appropriate
source :-) Thanks for the clarification to the list.

    Regards,
    Steve
