Any idea of how many are left? It seemed that a couple hundred people realized that being on the crime list was not going to mean having your own personal bugtraq-watching fed-friendly security experts on call... well I may be wrong (I hope I could be), but [we] security professionals are after all somewhat human. There will be endless differences of opinions and varying personal motivations for participation. And now, many less participants -- maybe splitting the list would help, but I think many folks wouldn't come back anywhoo. Personally, I look to this list not as an end-all solution by any means, but rather a specific place to discuss security and high-tech crime issues (I am not [yet] into forensics proper), ESPECIALLY as they apply to existing here in the Pacific Northwest... I really appreciate George's forwardings of the NPIC daily alerts, but also receive bugtraq and linux-secnews from securityfocus.com. I admit, I'm slightly ashamed to be part of a poorly-defined group, in that it seems to have left many people let-down and walking away. However, I think there might be other lists those folks need more, or maybe they can pay someone to deal with their email for them ;-) Just my humble opinions, of course, and ymmv. Each day, positively growing wisdom and learning new strengths amongst peers, Ben Barrett
