WAP doesn't really work that way. WAP, as it is currently deployed sends messages to a WAP Gateway, whose job it is to convert the messages into HTTP, pass the request along, and then intercept the deck that gets returned, compile it and send it back to your phone. You wouldn't be able to establish/maintain a telnet connection using WAP.
