    Hi Daniel,
Well there are no REAL courses ive come across available in Australia that
would give you a foot-in in this industry. Infact its quite hard to find
anyone providing proper forensic IT services / expert IT witness apart
from large law and consulting firms (except the company i work for) and
they normally ship people here to train or send their staff overseas. I
personally got into the field via harddisk recovery (another hard field to
get into in .AU)and though i have no certification of any kind (i didnt
even finish high school) the main thing that got my the job was 8 years
solid experience in the IT industry. Courses in forensic accounting and
such may be useful for evidence gathering etc but really the precedents are still
being set here and i think you will find it hard to get into this type of
position due to the lack of companies that provide this type of service
(they can probably be counted on one hand) or even rarer companies that
specialise in it (there is only one i can think of).

Feel free to contact me off list if you require futher info.
