Tech Assist, Inc (www.toolsthatwork.com) offers a product called Byte Back that does a wipe with an amount of reps you enter and it verifies too. You can also enter the character and it runs in the absolute sector mode so it doesn't care what operating system the drive was running previously. There is a demo as well. Hope this helps.
