Key Computer Services is owned and operated by John Mellon, a former law enforcement investigator and computer forensic specialist, who helped develop the law-enforcement only training course for the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS) www.cops.org . After many requests from private industry, IACIS allowed persons outside law enforcement to achieve the Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE) certification, though the training is still restricted to law enforcement. Key Computer Services offers computer based training to private sector individuals in computer forensic examination, in preparation for the CFCE certification process. Each student is assigned a coach to help him through the process. The IACIS certification has been around about 10-12 years, and is pretty well respected in the field. John's training will teach you that there are numerous tools with which to conduct examinations, and with improved understanding of the concepts and issues, you can decide for yourself what tool to use in each situation.
