    The Guidance Software Computer & Enterprise Investigations Conference,
    our follow-up to last year's Long Beach User Conference, is scheduled
    for Monday, September 16th and Tuesday, September 17th at the Westfields
    Marriott in Chantilly, VA.
    
    Both EnCase users and non-users are invited to attend.
    
    We will discuss such topics as incident response, information auditing,
    computer forensics, legal digital evidence issues and new forensic
    technologies
    
    Speakers will include outside computer security professionals,
    executives and analysts, as well as the highly qualified and experienced
    GSI training staff.
    
    There will be four hands-on training labs (with 25 workstations each) to
    include: 
    
    o	EnCase Enterprise Edition: Enterprise Response, Auditing and
    Discovery (ERAD)
    
    o	PDA Forensics
    
    o	Interpreting the Outlook PST file and other e-mail investigation
    tips
    
    o	Acquiring and mounting software and hardware RAIDs
    
    o	EnCase certification (EnCE) examination review sessions
    
    o	EnCase reporting
    
    Additionally, Guidance will offer review sessions for those interested
    in preparing for the EnCase certification examinations on the evening of
    September 16.
    
    Other conference highlights and special features will include:
    
    o	An evening pre-registration reception on Sunday, the 15th and a
    closing reception on the evening of Tuesday, the 17th  
    
    o	Buffet breakfast and lunch provided both days, along with
    morning and afternoon coffee breaks

    ABOUT THE CONFERENCE CENTER:
    
    The Westfields Marriott is an executive-oriented high-tech conference
    center located just minutes from Dulles International Airport. The
    Westfields Marriott is offering all conference attendees the
    government-lodging rate of $150.00/per night +tax for the nights of the
    15th, the 16th, and 17th.
    
    The Westfields has extended a discounted weekend rate of $99 per night
    for overseas attendees or those just wishing to spend some time before
    the conference, in beautiful, Northern VA.
    
    For golfing enthusiasts, the Westfields Golf Club is less than 5 miles
    from the Marriott and is a Fred Couples Signature Golf Course.  The golf
    course's $95 weekend rate includes tax, greens fees, cart fees, and
    practice balls.  There is also a discounted replay rate of $39 per
    player.
    
    CONFERENCE PRICING AND REGISTRATION:
    If you register between now and August 20, 2002, the conference fee will
    be $550 per attendee.  After August 20th the fee is $650.
