As there seems to be a bit of confusion about how to track the LSM
development, here are the current ways of doing it, listed in order of
freshest tree, to most out of date:

    	- clone the bitkeeper tree to your local machine. Sign up for
the lsm-commit mailing list, and every time a commit happens,
    	  pull from the repository.

Instructions on how to clone the tree are at:
    		http://lsm.immunix.org
Instructions on how to join the lsm-commit mailing list are
    	  at:
    	  http://mail.wirex.com/mailman/listinfo/linux-security-module-commit

Tree freshness level:	1-10 minutes, depending on how often you
    				check your mail.

    	- keep a local copy of the kernel tree and apply the most recent
lsm patch that is listed on the lsm.immunix.org web page.
Sign up for the lsm-commit mailing list, and apply every patch
that is sent there, in response to a commit happening, to your
    	  local tree.

The patches are not sent to the mailing list for the large
kernel version merges (a real patch will be put up on
lsm.immunix.org for that), and the patches do have a
noticeable time delay on the mailing list, as the individual
patches have to be approved by the moderator.

Tree freshness level:	1-8 hours, depending on the time a
    				commit happens.

    	- keep a local copy of the kernel tree and only apply the
    	  patches posted at lsm.immunix.org.

Tree freshness level:	1-2 weeks, depending on kernel releases
and development activity on the tree.

Patches are placed on the lsm.immunix.org web site when:
    	- a new kernel release happens
    	- the tree is synced against a -pre release due to some needed
    	  changes
    	- after about a week when there has been a lot of recent
    	  activity
    	- if someone asks me or Chris <chrisat_private> to
These patches can be used as a reference point for development, are
useful for referring to a specific point in time in email, but are not
to be viewed as an "official release". There is no such thing at this
    time.

I hope this answers any questions regarding how to get the most recent
version of the lsm patch. If anyone does have questions, please let me
    know.

    thanks,

    greg k-h
