    This client who have an excellent reputation within the 
    Industry are currently looking to bring on board 
    experienced Information Security Consultants. You 
    should have a strong first degree (either 1st or 2:1 in 
    a numerate discipline) and be willing to lead projects 
    for commercial clients focusing on ensuring that their 
    businesses can undertake transactions in a secure 
    manner. You should have a background in general 
    risk assessment and have an understanding of 
    current, proven security systems including 
    algorithms, encryption, authentication schemes and 
    protocols. You will have practical experience of 
    system level risk assessment coupled with a working 
    knowledge of PKI solutions. You should be aware of 
    typical modes of attack and their likely impacts. 
    Involved within this remit will also be a familiarity of 
    BS7799 and other relevant standards, knowledge of 
    TCP/IP, networking, Firewalls, VPN`s, hubs, routers 
    and switches. Naturally you will be aware of NT & 
    Unix and they’re relevant issues, knowledge of 
    popular software programming languages, security 
    issues and their defensive programming. Ideally you 
    will also have practical experience of code reviews. 
    The position is based within Surrey, UK and will offer 
    salaries up to 60k dependent on experience.
