Senior Information Security Consultant
Responsibilities
The Senior Information Security Consultant will assist
clients in several areas, including:
Design, development, and implementation of
security controls within the client’s computing
environment
Implementing network security (e.g., firewalls,
intrusion detection, authentication, proxy, etc.)
Participate in evaluating new security hardware
and software technologies
Develop detailed technical recommendations to
solve security issues
Participate in an Incident Response Team
Write technical documents as necessary describing
security systems, requirements and architecture
Requirements:
Minimum five years experience in information
security or eight years in information technology
General understanding of both Unix and Windows
NT/2000 security
Minimum two years TCP/IP firewalls experience
Minimum two years network intrusion detection
experience
Bachelor’s Degree or additional five years of
information technology experience
Personal Qualities
Excellent communications and writing skills
Needs to be able to communicate effectively with
executives and technical staff
Preferred qualifications:
Consulting background
CheckPoint Firewall-1 experience and certification
ISS product experience and training
Certified Information Systems Security
Professional (CISSP) or Global Information Assurance
Certification (GIAC)
Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
or Engineering
