Title: Information Security Manager Our job reference #710 Location: Central NJ Salary: $90k - $110k Directs, manages, plans and administers the operational and administrative activities associated with the running of the Information Security section. Directs the Information Security staff in the development, implementation, communication, monitoring and maintenance of the information security policies and procedures which promote a secure and uninterrupted operation of all IT systems. Prepares activity and progress reports. Responsible for the development and implementation of security standards, procedures, and guidelines to prevent the unauthorized use, release, modification, or destruction of data across multiple platforms and environments (e.g., corporate, distributed and client server systems). Participates in the establishment of the corporation's information security policy. Reviews the development, testing and implementation of appropriate security plans, products and control techniques. Provides state-of-the-art technical expertise and support to client and IT management and staffs in risk assessment and the implementation of appropriate data security procedures and products. Manages the reporting, investigation and resolution of data security incidents. Maintains contact with industry security standard setting groups, and an awareness of State and Federal legislation and regulations pertaining to information security. Performs related duties as assigned or requested. Reports directly to the Information Security Head. Manages multiple projects, professional and technical staff, and other related activities of the area. Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and at least six, typically eight or more years experience in security aspects of multiple platforms, operating systems, software, communications and network protocols or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Requires excellent communication skills, analytical ability, strong judgment and management skills, and the ability to work effectively with clients and IT management and staffs.
