Title: IT Security Manager Our job reference #738 Location: Dallas, TX Salary Range: $85k - $90k Directs and implements the necessary controls and procedures to cost-effectively protect information systems assets from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure or destruction. Provides reports to management regarding effectiveness of data security. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Supervises assigned personnel, allocates work and makes decisions regarding employment, performance appraisals, training and development, salary recommendations, promotions and transfers. 2. Manages the implementation and maintenance of the Bank's information protection policy, as well as provides security related user training. 3. Manages information security projects, logical security reporting, and logical security monitoring for the Bank’s IT environments. 4. Manages the logical security environment, and researches security incidences. 5. Participates in IT security assessments, audits, and examinations. 6. Manages the logical security activities of the Bank by maintaining the User ID and access rules for the processing platforms. In addition, provides guidance to security administrators. 7. Helps ensure that the Bank is in compliance with statutory, regulatory, and industry best practices through periodic monitoring and enforcement activities. 8. Participates in Information Technology’s contingency planning effort, assisting in plan development, maintenance and testing. 8. Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned. JOB SPECIFICATIONS 1. Bachelor degree in Computer Science required. (Note: directly related job experience and/or a related business degree can be substituted in lieu of this degree requirement.) 2. Eight to ten years of related job experience in Information Systems Security working with UNIX, Microsoft Windows and Tandem systems. 3. Three to five years of supervisory and Information security project management experience required. 4. Knowledge of SUN UNIX, DOS, TCP/IP, relational date base, personal computer and related peripheral equipment is required. 5. Advanced knowledge of logical security systems operating within Unix, Microsoft Windows and Tandem environments and how they interact with each other. 6. Experience with application systems aspects for the banking or investment services industry, preferred. 7. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) preferred. 8.
