    With Telstra (Australia)/Bigpond Cable. Apparently there is a webbased
    frontend that is accessible by a certain range of ips that is used to change
    any settings on the DOCSIS modems in the network. Now I'm assumimg that
    this would be a 10.x ip. So perhaps finding out what this IP range is would
    allow you to modify the snmp strings for up/download caps and other such
    info.

    What I am wondering is if these modems will only allow changes to the data
    xfer rates from its 10.31.30.31 address? And if so can you enable ip
    forwarding to get to the 10.31.30.31 address from the 149.112.50.65
    address. It appears it has an entry for forwarding.

    ip.ipForwarding.0 = forwarding(1)

    ip.ipAddrTable.ipAddrEntry.ipAdEntAddr.10.31.30.31 = IpAddress: 10.31.30.31
    ip.ipAddrTable.ipAddrEntry.ipAdEntAddr.149.112.50.65 = IpAddress:
    149.112.50.65

    Just an idea. I havent tested anything yet.
