Your first mistake is that anyone "hates god" I doubt many people actually hate god. I suspect many more people fear his followers and find it rude and inappropriate to expect others to live by your morals. You are the one who became irate when someone said "goddamnit", which is actually not taking god's name in vain so much as cursing someone. People are just telling you to keep your religious beliefs to yourself.
