Anitian started building plans to do a "Pacific Northwest Security Summit" last year, but abandoneded it because it was just too expensive and time consuming. Opting instead for smaller, sponsored seminars. Maybe the time is ripe to do an Oregon version of DefCon/BlackHat? > > And I have just the spot for it. Umm, as much as I love visiting Breitenbush, it seems like the wrong place for an infosec conference- I doubt they could handle our power consumption & network bandwidth requirements. Also, frankly, I don't know that they would want the number of gawkers (since it is a clothing optional retreat) that such a gathering would bring. toby > > Mark Allyn > >
