    Yup. That's the functionality that traditional syslog offers, it's
    consistent with the whole surrounding tool strategy (log records are
    deposited into text files with simple line termination), and it's
    consistent with the header, which is constrained by the charset of
    RFC 3339 timestamps and of domainnames.
