Charles and other list members, greetings. I was at the Info Security show/expo at Olympia (London) yesterday, and came across a stand from the ISC2 organisation (see : www.isc2.org ) I think some sort of 'certification' which is not vendor specific maybe of greater use, than a degree and/or vendor training. This may not solve the 'jack of all trades' situation though, which I can sympathise with. I think the bottom line is 'can you get the job done', so if you can that's all that matters. Of course, a lot of letters after your name, may help, but they can be obtained and the more you have, the more can impress clients!
